Timberline Old Town

Sunday morning teachings and guest speakers from Timberline Old Town. At Timberline Old Town we gather to remind each other who we are…that we are all created in the image of God and have chosen to accept that, accept God’s love, take care of each other, and participate in God’s kingdom as followers of Jesus Christ.

These are the weekend teachings from Timberline Old Town Church in Ft. Collins, CO. Darren Fred is the primary communicator, though there are a smattering of guests spread here and there. Also, check out the Speaking of Art segments. We love art, we love what artists have to say about art. For more info about who we are, visit timberlineoldtown.org.

TEXT:

1 Corinthian 11:23-26

TAKEAWAYS:

1

Learn one new joke per week for four weeks.  Tell 3 people.

2

Start a journal in the spirit of receiving and passing it on. Make two daily entries based on two questions:
1. What did I receive today for which I’m grateful?

2. Whose day was better because of me?

BENEDICTION:

We ask you, Master, be our helper and defender.

Rescue those of our number in distress; raise up the fallen ; assist the needy; heal the sick; turn back those of your people who stray; feed the hungry; release our captives; revive the weak; encourage those who lose heart.

Let all the nations realize that you are the only God, that Jesus Christ is your Child, and that we are your people and the sheep of your pasture.

Amen.

Each week, we take a moment to pause and enter a practice we call Recognition Of Souls. It is a time to remember and realize that we are not in the room alone. Furthermore, we've all ended up in the room in the middle of very different lives and stories. The miracle of congregation is that we're all in the room. The call of congregation is to worship. The act of congregation is to "rejoice with those who rejoice; Mourn with those who mourn."

Sometimes we post the recording of Recognition Of Souls here. Enjoy.
